Pablo Andrés Neumeyer

Andrés Neumeyer is professor in economics at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina. He is a fellow of the Econometric Society, a Guggenheim Fellow, and a recipient of the Premio Konex Platino (2016), a prestigious recognition granted every 10 years to influential academics in Argentina. He has served as chair of the Latin American Chapter of the Econometric Society for two terms (2003–09); a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Development Network (2006–13); and Argentina’s Central Bank’s chief economist (Feb 2016–Jun 2018). His research is in the fields of macroeconomics, international finance, and development and has been published in leading economics journals. He is also the founder of FocoEconomico.org, a leading blog for the dissemination of economics research in Latin America.
