ADA’s School Writing Communities Project, ¡A CREAR! (To Create), strives to improve foundational learning for children in low-income communities across Costa Rica. It provides curricular material and teacher capacity building to motivate and deepen children’s engagement with writing and improve reading comprehension. The project aims to directly benefit 3,600 students from vulnerable communities and 160 teachers from at least 12 schools in San José, Puntarenas, and Guanacaste, generating an evidence base for potential national scale-up.
