Population Council and its community partner Na’leb’ak will continue to work with girls and young women at high risk of school desertion in rural Guatemala by supporting their ongoing learning from home and encouraging them to re-enroll in in-person schooling when feasible. Tutors will help gather information on the health and educational needs of these students to share with authorities and support public health messaging. In parallel, Population Council will continue to provide technical assistance to educational authorities in support of safe reopening and re-enrollment of all students.
