CIESAS hosts the project Medición Independientede Aprendizajes (MIA), which was designed to improve learning outcomes in rural communities and multigrade schools in southeastern Mexico. Since the start of the pandemic, MIA has trained thousands of teachers to adapt their pedagogical practices to the unique challenges of the pandemic, particularly widespread learning loss. The project team will work with Secretaries of Education in various Mexican states to reach at least 3,000 additional teachers and support the successful return of teachers and students to the classroom.
