Objective:
Provide vulnerable groups with new information and tools to access justice and claim their legal rights
Argentina has a robust legal framework that recognizes economic, social, cultural, and environmental rights, with specific provisions protecting the rights of vulnerable groups. In practice, however, millions of Argentines remain uninformed about their rights and the legal services that are available to them. Asociación Civil por la Igualdad y la Justicia (ACIJ) will use funding from Tinker to develop a technology solution that helps people identify the first steps they should take to access justice. Critically, ACIJ will develop a solution designed with input from the communities it seeks to serve. Design workshops, conducted virtually and in-person with appropriate health measures, will include members of vulnerable groups, civil society organizations, experts, academics, legal operators, and public officials. Over time, ACIJ will use the insights from this effort to inform recommendations on policy and practice.
