The shutdown of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic has created hardships across Guatemala and Honduras that have disproportionately affected families in poor, rural communities that do not have reliable access to the internet and mobile devices necessary for virtual learning. Glasswing will train teachers in mindfulness and restorative circles to address their social-emotional needs and those of their students. Glasswing will also develop and implement remedial education strategies and programming to ensure students make up for lost learning and stay on grade level.
