Women’s Justice Initiative (WJI) seeks to improve the lives of indigenous Guatemalan women and girls through legal education, access to legal services, and prevention of gender-based violence. The three-year grant from Tinker will support the organization to expand its work to a new municipality in western Guatemala. Under the project, WJI will train indigenous women to become Community Advocates, and build the capacity of local leaders and justice operators.
