The Institute for Economics and Peace partners with public officials and civil society actors to identify and address the root causes of insecurity and violence in Mexico. This funding supports IEP to deepen its existing partnerships in the state of Hidalgo, including work with police, prosecutors, and other officials to improve the gathering and analysis of data collection related to serious crime. This program will serve as a case study for effective collaboration between state-level actors and civil society, and a model for potential use in other states and countries.
